“Don’t Lose the Connection”
I was assigned to create a trend forecast for 2026 of a specific category and demographic of choice. For centuries, music has been a way for humans to connect with each other. Dating all the way back to the 60s, when Woodstock was established it was a common value among all the people in attendance engaging in Unity and peace. The attendees of Woodstock created a counterculture, where they dressed in loud colors, and funky prints in order to make a statement against the wars. This forecast is inspired by Woodstock while using current views and the STEEPC method to define the way festival goers portray themselves in 2026. Overall, this project was projecting humans overall need of maintaining human connection in a time that lacks it. This includes an explanation of social, technological, economic, environmental, political, and creative influences on trends as well as, key colors, key materials, and key details.
